OPWDD services
Big Heart Home Care provides OPWDD services in New York for children and individuals with developmental disabilities. We support independence, daily living skills, respite care, self-direction, and community inclusion.
Big Heart Home Care firmly believes that every child deserves the chance to grow, thrive, and live a joyful life in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. The Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is a New York State agency that supports individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Through OPWDD we are able to provide access to services that promote independence, inclusion, and quality of life for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and other Neurological Impairments.
Our OPWDD Services Include:
- Skill-building in daily living, socialization, and independence at home and in the community.
- Short-term relief and support for families and caregivers.
- Guidance in managing self-directed services and budgets.
- Assistance navigating eligibility, services, and individualized care planning.
- Helping individuals participate fully in social, recreational, and vocational activities.
